I've learned a lot of new skills from working on the Web Design project that I can use in many areas of my career, especially as I start my own business as a future speech therapist. I got more proficient in designing user interfaces through this project. I learned how to apply rules like keeping things simple, consistent, and clear. As an example, I made sure the layout was clean and the navigation options were easy to understand so that users could easily find what they needed. I also used adaptable design elements to make the website work better on a variety of devices, which made it easier for everyone to view. What I liked best about this task was that it let me be creative while still following the rules for design. I found the task of finding a good balance between looks and functionality to be both interesting and sometimes frustrating. Still, these website design skills will help me a lot in my future job because they help me market my services and interact with potential clients online, building a strong professional image.
AI tools like ChatGPT are a part of my daily life, though they only play a small part. I don't depend on ChatGPT too much, but I do use it a lot to get ideas or help when I'm writing papers or looking for words. Its ability to spark thoughts or give different points of view can be very helpful. But I only use AI tools for specific tasks; I haven't looked into how to use them for more general purposes. Still, I'm excited to learn more about their possibilities as they continue to grow, especially since they could make many jobs easier and boost productivity.
Using ChatGPT for classes has been a beneficial experience. I've learned about the pros and cons of AI chatbots by practicing with different tasks and watching what happens. While it's interesting to see how ChatGPT can respond in a logical way to input, it's also important to be aware that it can be biased and wrong. My view of AI has changed as I've learned that while it can be very helpful, it also has risks, especially when it comes to spreading false information or making biases stronger. As a teacher, to talk to my students about these risks, I would should encourage them to think critically and be skeptical when using AI-powered platforms. I would also stress how important it is to check information from trustworthy sources.
There's no doubt that AI tools could make people more productive, and I'm open to using them in my job as a teacher to make things easier and run more smoothly. You can make some of the tasks that teachers have easier by using tools like AI-powered grading systems to give students feedback quickly or virtual helpers to handle administrative tasks. Additionally, educational systems that use AI can tailor students' learning to their specific requirements, making it easier for them to understand. When AI tools are used in education, there needs to be a balance between using them to their full potential and keeping ethical concerns in mind. This way, AI tools should add to human knowledge and connection, not replace it.
