Throughout my academic journey, I have always depended on Google Docs over Word. Although Microsoft Word is widely used as a word editing software, I have not fully gotten the hang of it. I like that Google Docs is more user-friendly and easily accessible. However, there I now have to use Microsoft Word as the preferred platform for this class, which requires me to explore and utilize its features and functionalities.
The ISTE Standards for Educators provide an in-depth framework for the integration of technology in education. Through the examination of these criteria, I gained a better understanding of the significance of technology in teaching and learning. I believe that teachers should look into the ISTE standards to better equip themselves for their lessons.
I agree with the label "digital native" when referring to the younger generation of today. Being raised in a period marked by a strong presence of technology, the current generation of young individuals, myself included, have been fully engaged with online platforms and tools since a very early age. Younger generations generally have more skill in navigating and adjusting to new technologies presented to them. I have observed differences in the way my peers and I effortlessly integrate technology into our everyday routines, over some of our teachers who may exhibit different degrees of familiarity when it comes to technology.
